Details of the Job/Internship
MetaLaw Offices is hiring a Senior Associate – General Corporate & PE/VC Practice on a secondment basis for its Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Advise on corporate, investment, and transactional matters, including M&A, joint ventures, private equity, and venture capital.
- Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents like Share Subscription Agreements, Shareholders’ Agreements, and Investment Agreements.
- Handle media and entertainment-related agreements, including production, co-production, development, and artist/technician contracts.
- Provide corporate advisory on compliance, governance, FEMA, IP, and Companies Act matters.
- Support due diligence, risk assessments, and transaction execution.
- Collaborate with internal client teams to address legal and commercial queries.
- Coordinate with partners and internal stakeholders for comprehensive legal support.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a reputed law school.
- 5–7 years of post-qualification experience in corporate, PE/VC, and transactional matters.
- Strong commercial understanding and client-handling skills.
- Prior experience in secondment or client-facing roles preferred.
- Excellent drafting, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
