Details of the Job/Internship

Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan attorneys is hiring a Senior Associate - Corporate Advisory & Real Estate to join them in Hyderabad office. 

Role and Responsibilities

• General Corporate: 
• Provide legal opinions on corporate, regulatory, and compliance matters, including those under the Companies Act, SEBI Regulations, FEMA, Employment, and Food Laws.
• Real Estate: 
• Preparing property and title due diligence reports and providing legal opinions on real estate queries. 
• Advise clients on the acquisition, disposition, leasing, and financing of real estate assets.
• Advising on land use and zoning restrictions. 
• Drafting and Documentation:
• Draft and review agreements such as service agreements, OEM contracts, employment contracts, and other corporate documents including Employment Handbooks, Policies on Anti-Sexual Harassment, etc. 
• Negotiate, draft, and review commercial and real estate contracts, including sale deeds, lease agreements, joint development agreements, etc. 
•  Ensure legal documentation as per the applicable laws and the client’s business objectives. 
• Team Leadership:
• Oversee the work of junior associates, providing guidance on legal research, drafting, and client communication. 
• Mentor team members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Client Engagement:
• Act as a point of contact for clients, ensuring timely and effective resolution of queries. 
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through strategic advice and proactive problem-solving. 
• Compliance and Research:
• Stay updated on changes in corporate, regulatory, and employment laws. 
• Assist clients in achieving compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Desired Skills and Competencies:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Should be articulate.
• Ability to interact with clients confidently and with legal knowledge on a subject.
• Good team player, ability to train and coach younger associates. 
• Analytical ability- able to analyze laws, judgements and apply the same for practical use.
• Good turnaround time, detail oriented, willing to get to the bottom of a problem, not skim it from a height.
• Able to use the computer efficiently.
• High level of integrity, honesty and commitment to work ethics.
• Excellent research skills, active participation in KM, writing external and internal articles and papers.
• Conforms to Firm’s policies.
• Contribute towards business development and work based on the business plans agreed with reporting partner. 
• Commercial acumen (business lawyer)

Eligibility

• A five-year law degree from a reputed university with a good academic record. (Added advantage: LLM/CA/CS) 
• 4+ years of experience in the corporate practice of a well-reputed law firm(s). 

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
