Details of the Job/Internship
India Law LLP is hiring a Senior Associate- Criminal Litigation to join their office in Mumbai. The Senior Associate is expected to display sound judgment and decision-making with outstanding problem-solving and communication skills.
Role and Responsibilities
- Actively contribute towards knowledge development by writing blogs and articles on relevant legal topics.
- Maintain and update databases for client relations and case management.
- Communicate with clients and external counsel via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
- Represent before various adjudicating authorities, and courts and visit police stations in legal matters.
- Conducting criminal trials of white-collared crimes and the Negotiable Instruments Act before trial courts.
- Briefing and assisting the counsels in legal research, drafting of written submissions & written notes of arguments, etc.
- Should be well aware of the procedures and process of Criminal Litigation in Magistrates Courts, Sessions Courts, and High Courts.
- Dealing with all legal matters including preparing and drafting of legal notices, replies, applications, writs, petitions, criminal complaints, bail applications, revision applications, appeals, and SLPs for filing with different adjudicating authorities and courts.
Eligibility
- Excellent communication & writing skills.
- Knowledge of using MS Office, MS Excel, and PowerPoint tools.
- Flexible & able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Proactive and self-motivated, have a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work in a team in time bound manner.
- Good Command over written, and spoken language (English, Marathi & Hindi).
