Details of the Job/Internship
AQUILAW is hiring a Senior Associate – Data Protection & Privacy with experience of 4–6 years to join its Data Protection and Privacy practice in Kolkata. The role involves working on advanced privacy and technology law matters, including advisory, compliance, audits, due diligence, regulatory filings, and incident response management.
Role and Responsibilities
- Advise clients on data protection and privacy laws.
- Assist in audits, due diligence, and regulatory filings.
- Handle data breach response and incident management.
- Draft and review legal documents relating to privacy and technology laws.
- Support clients on compliance under applicable data protection and privacy frameworks.
Eligibility
- Law graduate with 4–6 years of post-qualification experience in data protection, privacy laws, and technology or IT laws.
- Strong understanding of the DPDP Act, 2023 and DPDP Rules, IT Act, GDPR, US State data privacy laws, and Chinese data privacy laws (PIPL).
- Strong drafting, advisory, and client-handling skills.
