Details of the Job/Internship
Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan Attorneys is hiring a Senior Associate for Indirect Tax Litigation with 3-5 years of experience to join their office in Chandigarh.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle engagements related to indirect tax laws, appeals, investigation handholding, and litigation management.
- Prepare submissions, replies to notices, and represent clients before tax authorities and appellate forums.
- Take independent responsibility for smaller client matters.
- Stay updated with developments in tax and other relevant laws.
- Mentor associates and contribute to knowledge management.
- Proactively identify technical issues and deliver client solutions.
- Develop commercial acumen and stay abreast of business trends.
- Identify opportunities for existing clients and support internal networking.
Eligibility
- LLB from a known law school with strong academic track record.
- 3-5 years of experience in indirect tax litigation.
- Experience in assisting clients during search, investigation, and audits.
- Experience in preparing replies to show cause notices and drafting appeals.
- Experience in appearing before tax authorities and assisting seniors in hearings.
