Details of the Job/Internship
Poovayya & Co. is hiring a Senior Associate–Information Technology Lawyer with experience of 5–8 years to join their office in New Delhi/NCR. This is a full-time position involving litigation and advisory work for intermediaries, including strategic advisory and representation before courts and arbitral forums.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead client interactions.
- Develop case strategies.
- Draft pleadings for social media intermediaries across various legal forums.
- Advise clients on intermediary liability, data privacy, content moderation laws, and criminal laws.
- Guide junior associates in research and drafting.
Eligibility
- 5–8 years of post-qualification experience.
- Understanding of India’s technology landscape, the IT Act, and relevant Rules.
- Ability to convert complex legal issues into clear, practical, and business-oriented advice.
- Exceptional command of the English language.
- Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to articulate complex legal positions to foreign lawyers.
