Details of the Job/Internship

Areness is hiring a Senior Associate - Intellectual Property with a minimum of 3 years of dedicated experience to join their office in Delhi.

Role and Responsibilities

• Managing global IP portfolios for varied clients, including Trademarks, Copyrights and Designs.
• Handling prosecution, opposition and enforcement of clients’ IP portfolios.
• Drafting and filing various applications and forms with the Registries.
• Appearing before Examiners, Registrars, Controllers, etc., for hearings.
• Assisting with IP litigation matters, including research and drafting of notices, pleadings, written statements, and interim applications.
• Drafting and analyzing legal opinions and advisories for client queries.
• Advising clients with strategic proposals to enhance their IP portfolios.
• Planning enforcement strategies against IP infringement.
• Drafting, vetting and reviewing IP-related agreements such as non-disclosure agreements, settlement agreements, co-existence agreements, and IP assignment/licensing agreements.
• Managing a team of Associates, Paralegals, and Interns.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Law with at least 3 years of dedicated experience in IP in a law firm, IP firm or independent practice.
• Experience in handling IP matters end-to-end, including appearances before Registries for hearings and compliance.
• Experience in international filings, responses, oppositions, and enforcement actions.
• In-depth knowledge of Trademark, Copyright and Design Laws, along with applicable procedures.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong command of the language.
• Proficient in drafting and legal research.
• Ability to independently manage IP portfolios.
• Zeal to learn and grow.

Salary/Stipend
