Details of the Job/Internship

Areness is hiring a Senior Associate - Intellectual Property with at least 3 years of dedicated IP experience to join their office in Delhi.

Role and Responsibilities

• Managing the entire global IP portfolios of varied clients, including Trademarks, Copyrights, and Designs.
• Handling the prosecution, opposition, and enforcement of clients’ IP portfolios.
• Drafting and filing various applications and forms with the Registries.
• Appearing before Examiners, Registrars, and Controllers for hearings.
• Assisting with IP litigation matters, including researching and drafting notices, pleadings, written statements, and interim applications.
• Analyzing and drafting opinions and advisories for day-to-day client queries.
• Advising clients by devising strategic proposals to enhance their IP portfolios.
• Developing strategies and plans of action for enforcement against infringement.
• Drafting, vetting, and reviewing IP-specific agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, settlement agreements, co-existence agreements, and agreements for assignment or licensing of IP.
• Managing a team of Associates, Paralegals, and Interns.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Law with at least 3 years' dedicated experience in IP in a law firm, IP firm, or independent practice.
• Experience handling IP matters end-to-end, including appearing before the Registries for hearings and compliances.
• Experience with international filings, responses, oppositions, and enforcements in IP.
• In-depth knowledge of Trademarks, Copyrights, and Design Laws along with applicable procedures.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong command of the language.
• Proficient drafting and research skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage IP portfolios independently.
• Zeal to learn and grow.

Salary/Stipend
