Details of the Job/Internship

Tempus Law Associates is hiring a Senior Associate – Intellectual Property with 3–5 years of relevant experience to join its Intellectual Property Practice in Hyderabad. The role involves working on complex IP advisory matters, filings, and disputes.

Role and Responsibilities

• Advise clients on the registration and protection of patents, trademarks, designs, and copyrights.
• Conduct IP searches, patentability analysis, and technology landscape assessments.
• Draft and review IP-related clauses in licences, assignments, franchise agreements, distributor agreements, website terms, and collaboration agreements.
• Manage filings, oppositions, renewals, and hearings before relevant IP registries.
• Handle IP litigation matters, including drafting legal notices, affidavits, and responding to infringement claims.
• Provide strategic advice on trademark and domain name disputes and IP enforcement.
• Coordinate with external counsel for litigation and IP portfolio management.
• Prepare research reports and analysis relating to patents, innovation strategy, and IP trends.

Eligibility

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in Intellectual Property law.
• Strong understanding of patents, trademarks, designs, and copyrights.
• Excellent research, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to advise clients on brand adoption, trademark registrations, and IP protection strategies in India and internationally.
• Strong communication and client management skills.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and within a team.
