Details of the Job/Internship
India Law Offices is hiring a Senior Associate – Corporate Law with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience to join their office in New Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial and transactional documents including term sheets, share purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements, joint venture agreements, and asset or business transfer agreements.
- Advise clients on corporate and commercial laws including the Companies Act, Contract Law, FEMA, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Support and manage M&A transactions such as mergers, demergers, slump sales, business succession, and restructuring matters.
- Oversee corporate secretarial and regulatory compliance requirements for Indian entities.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory authorities for approvals, filings, and compliance matters.
- Develop client relationships and gradually take responsibility for matter management and team coordination.
Eligibility
- Graduate or Post-Graduate in Law from a reputed institution such as National Law University (NLU), Symbiosis Law School, Jindal Global Law School, GLC (Mumbai), or Campus Law Centre (Delhi).
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience as a practicing advocate with exposure to corporate law and M&A matters.
- trong analytical, drafting, and legal reasoning skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Demonstrated interest in building a long-term career in a law firm with leadership and client management responsibilities.
