Details of the Job/Internship
Expletus Legal is hiring a Senior Associate – Legal with 3–5+ years of post-qualification experience to join its electricity regulatory team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft legal matters for APTEL, CERC, and MERC.
- Conduct conferences and coordinate daily with client teams and arguing counsels.
- Perform legal research and prepare case summaries, memos, and briefing notes.
- Support regulatory compliance by tracking relevant laws, policies, and amendments.
- Coordinate with external counsels and assist in litigation or dispute resolution.
- Maintain and update legal documentation, files, and case databases.
- Participate in internal meetings to provide legal input on projects.
- Assist in timely filings and responses to regulatory bodies.
Eligibility
- 3–5+ years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or as an individual practitioner.
- Understanding or experience in the energy/electricity sector preferred.
- Strong research, drafting, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as the Electricity Act, energy policies, and contracts.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and strong work ethic.
