Details of the Job/Internship

MAISON D'​ AURAINE is hiring a Senior Associate–Legal with experience of 3 to 5 years to join their office in Gurugram.

Role and Responsibilities

Contracts Management:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of agreements, including vendor contracts, distributor agreements, service contracts, and partnership agreements.
• Ensure contract terms comply with company policies and legal standards.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Provide legal advice and support to internal teams, including procurement, marketing, operations, and finance.
• Liaise with external counsel for specialized legal matters as required.

Intellectual Property Management:

• Monitor and manage the company's IP portfolio, including trademarks and copyrights.
• Oversee trademark applications, renewals, and enforcement actions to protect the company’s brand.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments affecting the FMCG and e-commerce sectors.
• Ensure company policies and processes are aligned with applicable laws and regulations.

E-Commerce & Digital Business:

• Provide legal support for e-commerce and digital business initiatives, including drafting terms and conditions, privacy policies, and vendor agreements for online platforms.
• Address compliance issues related to consumer protection, data privacy, and online transactions.

Dispute Resolution:

• Assist in managing pre-litigation matters and coordinate with external litigation counsel.
• Support dispute resolution processes and represent the company in negotiations when necessary.

Policy Development:

• Assist in drafting and implementing company policies related to compliance, privacy, and risk management.
• Conduct training for teams on key legal and compliance topics.

Eligibility

• LLB or equivalent from a recognized university; additional qualifications (LLM or certifications in contract law/IPR) are a plus.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an FMCG or e-commerce environment.
• Strong corporate and commercial laws, intellectual property rights, and regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting e-commerce and digital business initiatives.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

Salary/Stipend
