Details of the Job/Internship

Meesho is hiring a Senior Associate – Legal to join their office in Bengaluru. The role involves providing legal advice, counsel, and support on a wide range of transactions, including advisory, contracting, new expansions, and launches.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including vendor, distribution, service, licensing, and SaaS or technology agreements.
• Conduct legal research on corporate, commercial, and regulatory issues and provide practical advice to business teams.
• Assist in corporate governance and compliance under applicable laws such as the Companies Act, FEMA, and SEBI regulations.
• Support due diligence and documentation in corporate transactions, including investments, mergers, and restructurings.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align contract and compliance processes with organisational objectives.
• Track regulatory updates and summarise implications for internal stakeholders.
• Develop and refine templates, playbooks, and internal policies to improve efficiency and consistency in contract management.

Eligibility

• Strong foundation in corporate and commercial law with hands-on experience in commercial contracting and compliance.
• Excellent drafting and legal research skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to interpret and communicate legal concepts in a clear and business-friendly manner.
• High level of ownership, responsiveness, and ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Collaborative approach with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and a solution-oriented mindset.
