Details of the Job/Internship

Meesho is hiring a Senior Associate – Legal to provide legal advice, counsel, and support on a wide range of transactions at their Bengaluru office. The role involves resolving legal queries, working with business teams to understand transaction structures, drafting and reviewing agreements, and leading negotiations.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including vendor, distribution, service, licensing, and SaaS/technology agreements.
• Conduct legal research on corporate, commercial, and regulatory issues and provide practical advice to business teams.
• Assist with corporate governance and compliance under laws such as the Companies Act, FEMA, and SEBI regulations.
• Support due diligence and documentation for corporate transactions, including investments, mergers, and restructurings.
• Collaborate with procurement, finance, tech, and business teams to align contract and compliance processes with organisational objectives.
• Track regulatory updates and summarise implications for internal stakeholders.
• Assist in developing and improving templates, playbooks, and internal policies for efficient contract management.

Eligibility

• Strong foundation in corporate and commercial law with hands-on experience in commercial contracting and compliance.
• Excellent drafting and legal research skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate legal concepts clearly and in a business-friendly manner.
• High level of ownership, responsiveness, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong analytical thinking and solution-oriented approach.
• Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
