India Law Offices (ILO) is hiring for the position of Senior Associate - Litigation & Corporate Law with 5 years of experience to join their office in New Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
Litigation
- Represent clients before District Courts, High Courts, Tribunals, Commissions, and various authorities.
- Draft and review legal documents including petitions, pleadings, writs, affidavits, appeals, and notices.
- Handle filing procedures, attend inquiries, and oversee execution proceedings.
- Liaise with statutory, regulatory, and quasi-judicial bodies as necessary.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal briefs and motions.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, updating them on case progress and legal strategies.
Corporate & Commercial Law
- Draft and negotiate complex legal documents such as term sheets, share purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, joint venture agreements, business and asset transfer agreements, and more.
- Advise clients on various laws including Contract Law, Companies Act, FEMA, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Provide M&A and transaction advisory services for mergers, demergers, slump sales, and business succession planning.
- Ensure adherence to corporate and regulatory compliances for Indian entities.
- Liaise with government departments and regulatory bodies.
- Support additional legal projects and assignments as required.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law from a top-tier institution (NLU, Symbiosis, Jindal, GLC Mumbai, Campus Law Centre Delhi, etc.).
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience as a practicing advocate.
- Strong command over written and spoken English.
- Excellent communication, legal research, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple assignments with high-quality outcomes.
