Details of the Job/Internship
Singhania & Partners LLP is hiring a Senior Associate – Litigation with experience of 4–8 years to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle daily litigation matters before District Courts, High Courts, and relevant tribunals in Bangalore.
- Draft complex pleadings, applications, written submissions, affidavits, notices, and legal replies.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare comprehensive case briefs, notes, and legal opinions.
- Strategize cases and provide support to senior counsels during intensive hearings and trials.
- Appear in court for routine hearings, procedural matters, mentions, and adjournments.
- Coordinate with clients, court clerks, registry offices, and external counsels.
- Track case progress and ensure strict compliance with all procedural and filing timelines.
- Manage case files and maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all legal proceedings.
Eligibility
- Education: LL.B. from a recognized university.
- Enrollment: Must be enrolled with a State Bar Council.
- Experience: 4–8 years of active post-qualification experience in litigation.
- Language: Mandatory proficiency in Kannada (ability to read and speak).
- Practice Area: Prior experience in civil and commercial litigation; exposure to criminal litigation is a plus.
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with court procedures and filing requirements specific to Bangalore courts.
