Details of the Job/Internship
Ascendus Law Partners is hiring Senior Associates (SA1 & SA2) in the General Corporate & M&A practice to join its teams in Delhi NCR or Mumbai. The role involves end-to-end work on M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions, general corporate advisory, and commercial contracts, with direct interaction with partners and clients. The position requires strong drafting skills, in-depth knowledge of the Companies Act and FEMA, and prior experience in a corporate or M&A practice within a law firm or a strong in-house team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and venture capital transactions.
- Provide general corporate advisory services.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and transaction documents.
- Work closely with partners on deal structuring and execution.
- Interact directly with clients and counterparties on transactional and advisory matters.
Eligibility
- SA1: 4–5 years of experience in a corporate or M&A team of a law firm or an active in-house team.
- SA2: 5–6 years of experience in a corporate or M&A team of a law firm or an active in-house team.
- Strong drafting skills.
- Sound knowledge of the Companies Act and FEMA.
- Prior experience in general corporate, M&A, PE, or VC transactions.
- Candidate must be based in Delhi NCR or Mumbai.
