Details of the Job/Internship
AZB & Partners are hiring experienced Transactional Lawyers to join their reputable law firm in Mumbai. As a Transactional Lawyer, you will play a pivotal role in providing legal counsel and support for a wide range of marquee M&A transactions.
Position: General Corporate Transactional Lawyer
Experience: 5 to 8 Years ( Senior Associate)
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate various transaction documents.
- Provide legal advice to clients on transactional matters, including business structuring, transaction structuring, mergers and acquisitions, etc.
- Conduct legal research to stay updated on relevant laws and regulations that may impact client transactions.
- Assist in due diligence processes for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
- Participate in negotiations and communicate effectively with opposing counsel, clients, and internal/ external stakeholders to reach favorable outcomes.
- Guide regulatory compliance.
- Manage matters efficiently, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate and organized legal documentation.
- Mentor and guide junior lawyers.
Eligibility
- Law degree from an accredited law school.
- Proven 5-8 years of experience as a Transactional Lawyer, preferably with a reputable law firm.
- Strong understanding of contract law, corporate law & commercial/business terms
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead a team, and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in legal research and drafting transaction documents.
- Demonstrated track record of providing sound legal advice and strategic thinking to clients.
