Details of the Job/Internship

Bose & Mitra & Co is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Associate with 3-5 years of relevant experience in Commercial Laws, Arbitration and Commercial Litigation to join our dynamic team.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analysis on maritime laws, regulations, and precedents.
• Draft and review legal documents including contracts, agreements, and legal opinions pertaining to maritime transactions and disputes.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on matters relating to maritime laws and regulations, compliance, and risk management.
• Assist in the resolution of maritime disputes through mediation, arbitration, or litigation proceedings.
• Collaborate with partners, principal associates and associates in case preparation, client meetings, and court appearances.
• Stay updated on developments in maritime law and industry trends to provide proactive legal advice and solutions to clients.
• Provide support in managing client relationships and ensure timely communication and delivery of legal services.
• Provide support and guidance to the Junior Associates, Associates and interns whenever required.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized institution. 
• Experience in drafting legal documents including pleadings and providing legal advice in maritime and/or commercial matters.
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders
• Proficiency in legal research tools and MS Office Suite.
• Willingness to undertake frequent travel (mainly domestic) based on client requirements.

Salary/Stipend

Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
