Details of the Job/Internship
Capital One India is hiring a Sr. Associate, Legal to oversee Third Party Management in alignment with enterprise requirements and Indian laws. The role involves ensuring a well-controlled third party management framework, managing risks and issues, and fostering continuous improvement. It also includes collaboration with enterprise teams, leading Third Party Risk initiatives and acting as the subject matter expert for Third Party Risk matters.
Role and Responsibilities
- Deliver oversight of the end-to-end third party management lifecycle.
- Build strong partnerships with enterprise stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Third Party Risk matters.
- Lead transformational Third Party Management projects.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and risk-aware decision-making.
- Work with compliance and legal teams on regulatory changes and emerging risks.
- Own third party management metrics, reporting and communication.
- Support audits, regulatory exams and enterprise risk initiatives.
- Support implementation of the Third Party Risk Management framework.
- Handle vendor onboarding, offboarding, payments, invoices and purchase orders.
- Follow and understand Third Party Management policies, standards and procedures.
- Escalate issues appropriately.
- Stay informed of business needs, market trends, competitor activity and industry developments.
- Ensure appropriate negotiation experience is assigned and act as escalation point in deal negotiations.
Eligibility
- Qualified LL.B. and Company Secretary (Member of ICSI).
- At least 2 years of post-qualification work experience in the legal field.
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience in third party management or operational risk management.
- Knowledge of Third Party Risk and lifecycle.
- Experience with Indian subsidiaries of US banks or financial institutions.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to influence across levels and support change and process improvement.
- Prior drafting experience.
