Details of the Job/Internship
Chandhiok & Mahajan is hiring a Senior Associate with 5–7 years of experience in corporate practice from well-reputed law firms to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle corporate and M&A transactions independently.
- Provide advisory on corporate and regulatory laws.
- Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents.
- Manage client relationships and assignments within timelines.
- Guide and support junior associates.
Eligibility
- PQE: 5–7 years in corporate practice.
- Transactional experience in M&A, private equity investments, VC funding, joint ventures, corporate commercial transactions, and strategic corporate transactions.
- Advisory experience on corporate, regulatory, and sectoral laws, and compliance.
- Well-versed with the Indian Contracts Act, 1872, Companies Act, 2013, Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999, Competition Act, 2002, SEBI laws, RBI regulations, and dispute resolution mechanisms.
- Ability to manage assignments independently with minimal supervision.
- Up-to-date knowledge of changes in law and jurisprudence.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact with clients confidently.
- Team player with ability to train and guide junior associates.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, commercial acumen, and high professional integrity.
