Details of the Job/Internship

Cygnus Legal is hiring a Senior Associate with 5+ years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) to join their Mumbai office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Execute and manage a diverse range of legal tasks, including the drafting and reviewing of complex contracts and documents.
• Provide strategic legal counsel to clients across corporate, financial, and real estate domains.
• Lead and handle critical negotiations on behalf of the firm’s clientele.
• Represent clients in various legal forums and dispute resolution proceedings.
• Oversee and mentor junior associates, ensuring high-quality work output and professional development.
• Conduct advanced legal research and analytical reviews of evolving regulations.
• Manage and foster long-term client relationships through effective communication.
• Ensure strict adherence and compliance with applicable Indian laws and regulatory frameworks.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); an LLM is a significant plus.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Mandatory: Proven experience in corporate matters, financial transactions, and real estate.
• Strong skills in drafting, reviewing, and legal research.
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and lead negotiations.
• Experience in supervising or mentoring junior legal professionals.
