Details of the Job/Internship
IFCI Limited is hiring a Senior Associate – Law (On Contract) with at least 6 years of post-qualification experience, particularly in recovery of NPAs.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle matters relating to IBC, SRFAESI Act, Negotiable Instruments Act, and other corporate/commercial laws before DRT, Civil, Criminal Courts, NCLT, and arbitration forums.
- Draft, review, and vet petitions, applications, and appeals before judicial and quasi-judicial forums including NCLT, NCLAT, High Courts, and Supreme Court.
- File claims before IRPs, RPs, and Liquidators.
- Conduct legal due diligence on loan proposals, projects, promoters, contracts, and property titles to assess risks and compliance.
- Draft, vet, and execute legal documents related to project financing, corporate loans, and security creation.
- Perform comprehensive title due diligence of properties and review financing/security documents.
Eligibility
- LLB/LLM from a recognized university.
- Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience in NPA recovery.
- Experience in financial institutions, NBFCs, PSUs, PSBs, government organisations, or ARCs preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of IBC, SRFAESI, Negotiable Instruments Act, and related corporate/commercial laws.
- Expertise in DRT, Civil, Criminal Courts, NCLT, NCLAT, arbitration proceedings.
- Skilled in drafting and vetting petitions, applications, appeals, and legal documentation.
