Details of the Job/Internship

IPgyan Consulting LLP is hiring a Senior Associate – Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment + Litigation with 3–4 years of experience to join its team in Kolkata on a full-time, on-site basis. The role involves handling IP and media contracts, advising on trademarks and copyright, managing litigation and dispute matters, and supporting cross-border work involving US and European legal frameworks. The joining date is 01 February 2026.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements including IP licensing and assignment, NDAs, MSAs, publishing, distribution, sync, brand collaborations, production, and artist or talent management agreements.
• Advising on trademarks, copyright, rights clearance and enforcement strategy.
• Handling litigation and dispute matters, including legal notices, cease and desist actions, injunction support, pleadings, replies, brief preparation, evidence documentation, filings and court coordination, as applicable.
• Supporting cross-border matters involving US and EU counterparties, including issue spotting, structuring, negotiation and risk mapping.
• Managing client interactions, internal coordination, delegation and timely delivery of matters.
• Mentoring juniors or interns, improving drafting quality and maintaining internal workflows.

Eligibility

• 3–4 years of relevant experience in intellectual property and media and entertainment law.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to independently handle matters.
• Experience in handling litigation and dispute-related work.
• Working exposure to US and European legal frameworks relevant to cross-border contracts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership orientation, strong ownership and accountability.

Salary/Stipend
