Details of the Job/Internship
M.S.Bodhanwalla & Co., Advocates & Solicitors is hiring for the position of Senior Associate with around 5-7 years PQE for its Disputes, Litigation & Media Law advisory practice groups.
Role and Responsibilities
- The candidate's day-to-day tasks will include handling the Firm's litigation matters before the Bombay High Court, the Mumbai City Civil Courts (Fort and Mazgaon), the Metropolitan Magistrate's Courts, and forums such as the National Company Law Tribunal and the Debt Recovery Tribunal.
- In addition, the candidate will also be allowed to appear in court as lead counsel, subject to performance review.
- The candidate shall be required to review case briefs thoroughly on a daily basis, interface with briefed senior counsel and counsel on the relevant matter, and draft suits, petitions, affidavits, replies, rejoinders, interim applications, and notices/other documents as required.
Eligibility
- The Firm primarily recruits candidates with a top-tier non-NLU background such as Government Law College, Mumbai, ILS Law College, Pune, and NLU such as Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai. Accordingly, candidates possessing the aforesaid background will be preferred, given the Firm's familiarity with their work ethic and execution.
- The candidate must possess a good grasp of basic fundamental legal concepts and have excellent drafting skills and clarity of thought to translate the same into legal arguments.
