Details of the Job/Internship
Porter is hiring for the position of Senior Associate- Legal to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- To assist in litigation prevention, resolution function and litigation management for the organization.
- Drafting legal notices and reply, complaints, suits, plaints, written statements, etc. and other correspondences, supporting business and finance teams on the documentation process required for various authorities including police officials/enforcement agencies.
- Handle grievance, IT as well as consumer, by getting the resolution from business teams and formulating appropriate responses to the same.
- Assisting the legal and business team with latest development in laws and assisting with advisories from time to time by carrying out research.
- Assisting in preparation of policies, processes, and standard operating procedures including assisting in strategic arrangements.
- Negotiate and draft agreements.
- Conducting research on relevant laws, regulations & legal articles.
- Must have knowledge on IPR, Property, Corporate and contemporary laws.
- Advising and supporting business models.
Eligibility
- A Law degree from a reputed law school completing B.A.LL.B(Law Graduate)/ LL.M.(master’s in law) having post-qualification experience in a law firm/as an in-house Counsel.
- 2 to 3 years of post-qualification experience in Contract Management, Litigation, General Corporate, and Legal and Business correspondence in reputed law firms / MNCs.
- Good understanding of laws, various types of contracts & key clauses.
- Experience in general corporate, litigation.
- The resource must be punctual, transparent, responsible, and able to take end-to-end accountability for any legal matters.
- Experience in research on relevant laws, regulations & legal articles including compliances.
- Strong communication and drafting skills in English.
- Exposure to tools for legal research, contract management, etc.
- Ability to independently coordinate with internal and external stakeholders as may be necessary.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor and ability to deliver under deadlines.
- Ability to provide timely support as a team member on a wide array of subjects to internal stakeholders.
- Expertise in maintaining and periodically updating MIS trackers.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
- Having Legal knowledge, Analytical Skills, Decision making, Team Player.
- Willingness to identify and take up new tasks and be a team player.
