Details of the Job/Internship
Saga Legal is hiring a Senior Associate (Compliance) with 4–6 years of experience as a company secretary to join their office in New Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, prepare, and maintain minutes for board, committee, and AGM meetings.
- Ensure timely statutory filings with ROC, MCA, and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain and update registers and records in line with applicable laws.
- Assist in drafting and vetting resolutions, agreements, trust deeds, and other legal documents.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant laws, rules, and internal policies.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and legal advisors.
- Manage filing of annual returns, board reports, and disclosures.
- Stay updated on changing legislation for trusts, societies, and companies.
- Advise on board governance and sector-specific laws, and conduct compliance audits and gap analyses.
Eligibility
- 4+ years’ experience as a company secretary.
- Strong knowledge of Companies Act, 2013, Societies Registration Act, and Indian Trusts Act.
- Excellent leadership, legal, and regulatory expertise.
- Good communication skills in Hindi and English.
- Ability to build relationships with teams and stakeholders.
- Experience in legal compliance procedures and research skills.
