Details of the Job/Internship
Sarvaank Associates is hiring a Senior Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join their office in New Delhi. .
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and review investment documents, shareholder agreements, commercial contracts, and transaction-related documentation.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research on corporate, regulatory, and data privacy frameworks.
- Provide advisory support on private equity, venture capital, fund-related matters, and M&A transactions.
- Assist in due diligence, transaction structuring, and regulatory compliance.
- Engage with founders, funds, and family offices and manage client communication.
- Deliver tailored legal solutions throughout the business lifecycle.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a recognized law school; LL.M. or specialization in corporate/commercial law is an advantage.
- 3-5 years of experience for Associate
- Strong understanding of the Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations, and corporate-commercial laws.
- Prior experience in drafting and negotiating investment documents (SHA, SSA, SPA, term sheets, commercial agreements, etc.).
- Experience in due diligence, transaction structuring, and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with the start-up ecosystem, cap tables, ESOPs, and fund investments is preferred.
- Strong legal research and opinion-drafting skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to handle client interactions independently.
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
- Candidate must have law firm experience.
