Treelife is hiring a Senior Legal Associate with experience of 4–8 years to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle PE/VC, corporate and transactional matters including funding-related work, disclosure, reporting, corporate governance, and investments.
- Provide advice on diverse complex structures based on varied business models with multiple startup founders and investors.
- Manage the legal team and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
- Lead investment transactions for startups and investors, including drafting, vetting, and negotiating transaction documents.
- Manage compliance and legal functions while working directly with the founders.
- Advise on PE/VC, Company Law, Data Protection, Commercial Contracts, Foreign Investments, Acquisitions, and Investment Exits.
Eligibility
- BLS (LLB/LLM) or BA (LLB/LLM) from a recognized university.
- 4–8 years of experience in a law firm, boutique, or otherwise.
- Hands-on experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, PE/VC transactions, corporate restructuring and reorganization.
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion to opine on legal issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in leading assignments.
- Prior startup experience preferred but not necessary.
