Details of the Job/Internship
UnitedLex is hiring a Senior Associate for its Gurgaon office (fully onsite). The ideal candidate should have 4+ years of experience in a law firm or global corporation, with expertise in commercial contracts, risk management, and contract negotiation.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts across industries like Manufacturing, Retail, Healthcare, Banking, Insurance, and Government.
- Identify key contract risks and obligations, ensuring compliance with legal and commercial standards.
- Support contract redlining, negotiation, and profit/margin optimization.
- Maintain contract databases, ensuring proper record-keeping and security.
- Conduct legal and operational research to support proposal and contract development.
- Advise internal teams on contractual risks, cost targets, and negotiation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to ISO 27001 and UnitedLex information security policies.
Eligibility
- LLB (or regional equivalent) required.
- 4+ years of experience in contract drafting, commercial assessment, and negotiations.
- Strong redlining skills and ability to engage at high levels with internal/external clients.
- Experience in outsourcing/supplier contracts is desirable.
- Ability to work remotely and collaboratively with teams across functions (legal, finance, compliance).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and the local language.
- Analytical mindset with a results-driven approach.
