Details of the Job/Internship
Vis Legis Law Practice, Advocates is hiring a Senior Associate with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join its Mumbai office. This is a full-time, on-site role involving client representation, drafting and review of legal documents, legal research, advisory work across multiple legal domains, and coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders, including courts and government authorities.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage and represent clients in legal proceedings.
- Draft, review, and advise on legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
- Conduct legal research and analysis across various legal domains.
- Handle civil and commercial litigation matters, including trials and proceedings before courts and tribunals.
- Work on corporate transactions and related business documentation.
- Engage in arbitration, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution matters.
- Interact regularly with clients, legal professionals, court authorities, and government authorities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective handling of cases and matters.
Eligibility
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
- Proven experience in civil and commercial litigation before various courts and tribunals, including the High Court and NCLT.
- Experience in corporate transactions and business documentation.
- Expertise in arbitration, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution.
- In-depth understanding of company law, contract law, arbitration, and insolvency and bankruptcy law.
- Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel for work and manage multiple matters under strict timelines.
- Law degree from an accredited institution and enrolment with the Bar Council of India.
- Additional certifications in specialised legal areas are an advantage.
