Tata AIG General Insurance Company Limited is hiring for the position of Senior/Chief Manager - Legal (Litigation/Non-Litigation) with 3-5 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

Contract Management & Legal Drafting:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of legal documents including NDAs, addendums, IT agreements, insurance intermediary agreements, and more.
• Vet all contracts and agreements across departments, ensuring legal risk is minimized and company interests are protected.
• Ensure all insurance intermediary contracts comply with applicable outsourcing regulations and industry guidelines.
• Manage contract lifecycle through digital contract management systems and maintain a centralized documentation repository.

Property & Lease Agreements:

• Examine and validate property title documents for branch locations and new acquisitions.
• Draft and vet Lease and Leave & License Agreements in collaboration with the Admin and Real Estate teams.

Legal Advisory & Compliance:

• Provide practical and timely legal advice to various business functions on diverse legal matters.
• Assist in developing and maintaining a strong regulatory compliance framework across the organization.
• Monitor and interpret changes in laws and regulations impacting business operations.

Research & Knowledge Management:

• Conduct legal research and prepare whitepapers, dashboards, and internal articles to increase legal awareness across teams.
• Support the acquisition and protection of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) for Tata AIG’s products and services.

External Coordination:

• Collaborate with external legal firms and consultants on corporate and legal matters as required.
• Coordinate with government bodies, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.

Eligibility

• Education: LLB / LLM from a reputed institution.
• Experience Required: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in contracts. management, corporate and commercial legal advisory.
• Prior experience in the insurance sector is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong command over corporate, general, and data privacy laws.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with IPR regulations and digital contract tools.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
