Details of the Job/Internship

Suncrypto is hiring for the position of Senior Compliance Manager with 5-7 years of experience to join their office in Jaipur.

Role and Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance & AML Framework
Ensure end-to-end compliance with FIU-India, PMLA, FATF, and other applicable regulatory frameworks governing Virtual Digital Asset Service Providers (VDASPs).
Design, implement, and continuously enhance AML, KYC, and Transaction Monitoring (TM) policies in line with global and domestic compliance standards.
Oversee timely and accurate submission of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs), Cash Transaction Reports (CTRs), and ongoing monitoring of high-risk transactions.
Implement risk-based controls for crypto transaction compliance, including onboarding, enhanced due diligence (EDD), and real-time monitoring.
Coordinate effectively with Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) and I4C, ensuring accurate and timely responses to legal and investigative requests.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration
Lead, mentor, and manage the compliance team, ensuring operational excellence across regulatory reporting, investigations, and internal audits.
Act as a key liaison with internal departments—Legal, Risk, Product, and IT—to embed compliance into all operational processes.
Serve as the primary point of contact for FIU-India, LEAs, and other regulatory bodies.
Transaction Monitoring & Risk Mitigation
Oversee end-to-end transaction monitoring, alert generation, investigation, and closure processes.
Implement KYT (Know Your Transaction) frameworks using advanced analytics and tools such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs, or Elliptic for crypto-specific risk management.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive fraud and financial crime risk framework, safeguarding the platform against emerging crypto-related threats.
Regulatory Audits & Reporting
Lead preparation and response for internal and external audits related to AML and compliance.
Draft and submit comprehensive reports and responses to queries from FIU-India, LEAs, and relevant regulatory authorities.
Maintain detailed documentation, audit trails, and compliance logs for reporting, governance, and future reference.

Eligibility

Experience: 5–7 years in AML, Compliance, or Regulatory Risk roles within banks, fintech firms, NBFCs, or payment institutions.
Knowledge Base: Strong grasp of PMLA, FIU-India regulations, FATF recommendations, I4C protocols, RBI and SEBI compliance norms.
Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with AML transaction monitoring systems and blockchain forensic tools like Chainalysis, TRM Labs, or Elliptic.
Policy Development: Demonstrated expertise in drafting and operationalizing KYC, AML, and TM policies from ground up.
Certifications: Mandatory AML certification – CAMS, CAME, IIBF AML, or equivalent.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams, drive cross-functional compliance projects, and manage regulatory interfaces.
LEA Coordination: Prior experience in handling LEA notices, I4C cases, and formal communications with regulatory and enforcement bodies.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage with regulators, auditors, and senior management with clarity and precision.
