Details of the Job/Internship

Stanley Black & Decker is hiring a Senior Corporate Counsel with 10–15 years of experience to join its Bengaluru office. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on commercial matters, contracts, governance, and competition law.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across India and Southeast Asia.
• Draft, review, and negotiate supply, procurement, distribution, and service agreements.
• Develop risk management strategies and mitigate legal risks.
• Manage litigation, arbitration, and mediation with support from external counsel.
• Ensure corporate governance compliance and maintain statutory records.
• Serve as liaison with regulatory authorities including MCA and RoC.
• Monitor changes in laws and collaborate with Ethics & Compliance teams.
• Deliver legal training and promote legal awareness within the organization.

Eligibility

• Master’s degree in Law or equivalent legal qualification from a recognized institution.
• Admission to practice law in a globally recognized jurisdiction.
• 10–15 years of experience in commercial law, especially in India and Southeast Asia.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
• Experience in a multinational corporation or top-tier law firm.
• Membership with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
• Strong ethical standards and ability to work independently or in a team.
