Details of the Job/Internship
Verizon is hiring a Senior Counsel – Legal with experience of 6+ years to join their office in Hyderabad.
Role and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary legal advisor to the Board of Directors and Company Secretary for VDSI and VCIPL.
- Ensure strict adherence to the Companies Act 2013, managing Board meetings and all corporate filings.
- Manage complex litigation strategies and dispute resolution processes independently.
- Provide legal guidance on HR, labor relations, real estate, and mergers & acquisitions.
- Lead the Compliance Council and advise Heads of Business on ethics and regulatory risks.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in law from a recognized university.
- Minimum of six or more years of relevant work experience.
- Proven experience in a senior legal role (General Counsel or equivalent) within a GCC or multinational corporation.
- Deep knowledge of Indian corporate law, including Labour Codes and DoT regulations.
- Demonstrated ability in crisis management regarding regulatory summons or facility incidents.
- Proven track record of maintaining statutory compliance with zero penalties.
