Details of the Job/Internship
Zinnia is hiring for the position of Senior Counsel to join their office in Gurugram.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel to stakeholders on a wide range of legal topics, including contractual matters, employment law, data protection, privacy, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- Advise on personnel issues and applicable employment practices laws, rules and regulations, participate in efforts to prepare, implement and refine best-in-class labor- and employment-related practices, policies, guidelines, and draft employment-related agreements.
- Oversee governance matters and corporate record keeping.
- Define and manage internal governance policies to ensure the company's processes and practices are in full compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Create, review, and negotiate various legal documents, such as leases, commercial contracts, vendor agreements, terms & conditions, privacy policies, and other contractual arrangements.
- Manage disputes, pre-litigation, and litigation matters, including arbitration.
- Liaise with and supervise external counsel for outsourced legal matters, ensuring efficient and cost-effective legal representation when required.
- Advise and counsel the company's senior management on the legal implications of strategic decisions and business activities.
Eligibility
- Qualification in law (J.D, LL.B and or LL.M degree) from a reputed Indian university
- 8+ years of legal experience, ideally with a combination of law firm training and at least one in-house role.
- Proven experience in general corporate and commercial issues working in-house or in private practice.
- Excellent legal and strategic judgment, coupled with strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills.
- An incisive grasp of legal issues, as well as a learner mindset and capability to expand your knowledge in relevant areas of law.
- Strong analytical skills, meticulous work, and the ability to learn quickly.
- To be a good team player and possess a high level of integrity.
- Sharp, strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to a variety of internal and external scenarios and contexts.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working into corporate legal teams, preferably product based environment.
Salary/Stipend
