Details of the Job/Internship

Zinnia is hiring for the position of Senior Counsel to join their office in Gurugram.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel to stakeholders on a wide range of legal topics, including contractual matters, employment law, data protection, privacy, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Advise on personnel issues and applicable employment practices laws, rules and regulations, participate in efforts to prepare, implement and refine best-in-class labor- and employment-related practices, policies, guidelines, and draft employment-related agreements.
• Oversee governance matters and corporate record keeping.
• Define and manage internal governance policies to ensure the company's processes and practices are in full compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Create, review, and negotiate various legal documents, such as leases, commercial contracts, vendor agreements, terms & conditions, privacy policies, and other contractual arrangements.
• Manage disputes, pre-litigation, and litigation matters, including arbitration.
• Liaise with and supervise external counsel for outsourced legal matters, ensuring efficient and cost-effective legal representation when required.
• Advise and counsel the company's senior management on the legal implications of strategic decisions and business activities.

Eligibility

• Qualification in law (J.D, LL.B and or LL.M degree) from a reputed Indian university
• 8+ years of legal experience, ideally with a combination of law firm training and at least one in-house role.
• Proven experience in general corporate and commercial issues working in-house or in private practice.
• Excellent legal and strategic judgment, coupled with strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills.
• An incisive grasp of legal issues, as well as a learner mindset and capability to expand your knowledge in relevant areas of law.
• Strong analytical skills, meticulous work, and the ability to learn quickly.
• To be a good team player and possess a high level of integrity.
• Sharp, strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to a variety of internal and external scenarios and contexts.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working into corporate legal teams, preferably product based environment. 

Salary/Stipend
