Details of the Job/Internship
Accordion India is hiring for the position of Senior Director –Compliance with 5-8 years of experience to join their office in Hyderabad.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Regulatory Compliance:
- Develop and oversee Accordion’s compliance framework in line with ABAC, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, and other relevant regulations.
- Lead compliance initiatives across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to local laws and best practices.
- Conduct internal audits, investigations, and corrective actions as necessary.
- Manage compliance program onboarding/offboarding for new employees.
2. Corporate Governance & Risk Management:
- Support corporate governance initiatives, including board resolutions and secretarial work for multiple entities.
- Identify legal and business risks, advising on mitigation strategies.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes impacting the technology and consulting sectors.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration & Training:
- Align legal and compliance objectives across internal departments to ensure cohesive implementation.
- Provide training on anti-bribery, data protection, and contractual risk management.
- Coordinate with external counsel for specialized legal advice or jurisdiction-specific support.
- Collaborate with the India Legal & Compliance Head on critical business issues.
4. Advisory Support:
- Provide guidance on legal and regulatory compliance, including data privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual property laws.
- Draft, review, and implement compliance-related policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and compliance audits, identifying legal risks and implementing corrective actions.
- Support contract negotiations, particularly in areas related to DPAs and BAAs.
Eligibility
- LLB or equivalent degree.
- 5-8 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal/compliance role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong problem-solving and detail-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of contract laws and commercial agreements.
