Details of the Job/Internship
Bata Shoe Kenya PLC is hiring a Senior Executive – Legal with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join their office in Gurgaon.
Role and Responsibilities
- Litigation & Dispute Management:
- Manage and coordinate litigation across India with external counsels and the corporate legal team.
- Maintain legal MIS and report daily to the head office.
- Draft and review pleadings; liaise with counsels.
- Represent the company in courts, especially in Bangalore and South India.
- Liaise with advocates, officials, and enforcement agencies.
- Prepare police complaints and assist in FIR processes.
- Contract Management & Documentation:
- Draft, review, and vet commercial contracts, lease deeds, and JV agreements.
- Prepare documents such as cancellation deeds, indemnity bonds, and declarations.
- Review title documents related to property acquisition.
- Support due diligence and legal matters for retail expansion.
Eligibility
- LL.B. degree from a recognized law school/institution.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a corporate legal team or law firm.
- Sound knowledge of civil/criminal law, including recovery suits, NI Act, IPR, consumer law, legal metrology, and labour laws.
- Strong legal drafting and research skills.
- Excellent communication and MS Office proficiency.
- Willingness to travel or relocate across India.
