Details of the Job/Internship
BDO India is hiring an Assistant Manager – Litigation Counsel with 4–8 years of post-qualification experience to join its Corporate Counsel team in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee litigation and dispute matters across courts, tribunals, and regulatory forums.
- Liaise with external counsel and track case strategy, filings, and hearings.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather documents and inputs for litigation.
- Monitor litigation risks and maintain case dashboards for senior management updates.
- Ensure compliance with court orders, regulatory directions, and internal legal processes.
- Draft contracts from scratch and create and maintain standard templates.
- Conduct legal research on relevant laws and matters.
- Handle HR and partner-related legal matters, including terminations and contentious issues.
- Review pleadings and advise internal stakeholders on litigation risk and strategy.
Eligibility
- LLB degree with 4–8 years of post-qualification experience in disputes or litigation.
- Prior experience in law firms preferred.
- CS, LLM, and contract law experience or courses are additionally preferred.
- Strong proficiency in English, analytical ability, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
