Details of the Job/Internship

Qualcomm is hiring a Senior IP Legal Specialist with 4+ years of experience to join their team in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the global IP docketing system, ensuring 100% accuracy in deadline entry and record updates.
• Monitor all IP-related statutory deadlines and track the timely completion of required filing actions.
• Perform rigorous quality reviews of patent applications and related filing documents for US and foreign jurisdictions.
• Manage complex legal formalities and administrative requirements across multiple international patent offices.
• Review and process high volumes of incoming correspondence, invoices, and case-level data according to standard procedures.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external counsel to ensure proper handling of IP matters.
• Support portfolio development by managing the end-to-end lifecycle of IP filings, renewals, and maintenance.
• Generate detailed reports and summaries of IP activities to assist in long-term strategic planning.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a Law degree is a significant advantage.
• 4+ years of substantive IP prosecution experience at a major law firm, corporation, or IP management company.
• Minimum Requirement: 3+ years in the legal field specifically within industry-related legal roles.
• Strong understanding of global IP laws, regulations, and filing procedures.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills to navigate a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using specialized IP docketing software and related legal-tech tools.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in managing complex legal records.
