Details of the Job/Internship
ABB is hiring a Senior Labor & Employment Lawyer for its Motion Business Unit to manage employment-related legal matters in India and support cross-border labor issues across the APAC region from its Bangalore office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage labor and employment legal matters for ABB Motion in India.
- Provide legal advice across APAC on labor and employment matters.
- Coordinate regional and cross-border employment law projects.
- Develop and maintain L&E contract templates, policies, and governance documentation.
- Partner with HR and regional legal teams to advise on complex employment issues.
- Oversee labor litigation and support regional litigation coordination.
- Provide legal support on investigations, audits, and sanctions.
- Conduct training sessions and legal updates on employment laws.
Eligibility
- LLB or LLM from a reputed university in India.
- Active membership in the Bar Council of India.
- Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience in labor and employment law.
- Experience in in-house and law firm roles.
- Strong knowledge of Indian labor law and multi-jurisdictional employment matters.
- Skilled in litigation, negotiation, and employment risk mitigation.
- Effective verbal and written communication in English and Hindi.
- Willingness to collaborate across time zones and travel when needed.
