Details of the Job/Internship
Aritra Partners is hiring a Senior Principal Associate for its Transactions Advisory – Legal practice to join their office in Mumbai. The role involves independently leading complex deals, structuring innovative investments, and acting as a trusted advisor to startups, founders, and VC/PE funds. The candidate will also manage mandates end-to-end, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the growth of the practice.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver complex M&A and PE/VC transactions end-to-end.
- Supervise and negotiate key investment documentation such as SHA, SSA, and SPA.
- Advise early- and growth-stage companies on strategic, legal, and regulatory issues.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with founders, investors, and senior stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop junior lawyers, embedding best practices and strengthening team capability.
Eligibility
- Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience with a strong track record in PE/VC and corporate transactions.
- Deep expertise in company law, FDI regulations, and transaction documentation.
- Proven ability to run transactions independently with minimal oversight.
- Strong client leadership and relationship management skills.
- Passion for startups, innovation, and shaping high-growth companies.
