Details of the Job/Internship

Ashwin Sheth Group (ASG) is hiring a senior lawyer to join them in Bengaluru office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Joint Venture Agreements: Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize Joint Venture (JV) agreements in line with company objectives. Provide legal insights and strategies to structure JVs and collaborations effectively.
• Land Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence for land and property transactions, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. Verify title deeds, encumbrances, land use permissions, and other critical documentation.
• Transaction Management: Manage end-to-end legal aspects of at least 4 successful transactions from initiation to closure. Collaborate with consultants, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Regional Expertise: Handle land and property matters in Bengaluru, including CBD, North, and North East areas. Provide in-depth advice on Karnataka’s property laws and compliance requirements.
• Legal Advisory and Risk Mitigation: Advice senior management on legal risks and implications related to business decisions.Ensure all legal processes adhere to corporate policies and applicable laws.
• Stakeholder Management: Liaise with external counsel, regulatory authorities, and government agencies. Collaborate with internal departments for legal compliance and dispute resolution.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Law (LLB/LLM) from a recognized institution.
• Must have completed education under the Karnataka Education Board.
• 12-18 years of total experience in legal roles.
• Initial years spent in a reputed law firm.
• Subsequent experience with a renowned real estate developer.
• Proven expertise in handling joint venture agreements and land due diligence.
• Track record of managing end-to-end legal aspects of at least 4 pro
• Proficiency in Kannada (spoken and written).
• In-depth understanding of the Bengaluru real estate landscape, particularly in the CBD, North, and North East areas.
• Strong capabilities in contract drafting, negotiation, and legal documentation.
• Knowledge of RERA and other real estate-related regulations.
