Details of the Job/Internship
LegaLogic is hiring a Senior Legal Advisor – Data Privacy & Protection with 5+ years of experience to join the Corporate Commercial Practice team in Pune. The role involves providing expert legal guidance, ensuring compliance with privacy laws, handling documentation, and engaging with top-tier clients.
Role and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement data privacy and protection frameworks for clients.
- Review, draft, and negotiate data processing agreements, data transfer clauses, privacy notices, and related documents.
- Lead privacy training programs, client awareness sessions, and internal workshops.
- Conduct privacy audits/assessments and provide actionable legal recommendations.
- Advise clients on domestic and international data protection laws, including DPDPA 2023 and GDPR.
Eligibility
- Law degree from a recognized institution.
- Privacy certifications such as IAPP (CIPP/E, CIPM) or DSCI certification preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant legal experience in privacy and data protection laws.
- Expertise in reviewing and negotiating privacy-related agreements.
- Experience advising clients on GDPR, DPDPA, and related regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, drafting, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Professionalism, integrity, and high ethical standards.
