Details of the Job/Internship
7-Eleven Global Solution Center–India is hiring a Senior Legal Analyst with experience of 4 to 6 years to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Using relevant knowledge of principles, regulations and practices for Contracts, work on the standard templates and other legal matters.
- Review, redline, analyze, drafting and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, and corporate agreements including Service Agreements, Licensing Agreements, Supply Chain, Franchising Agreements, etc.
- Provide legal assistance on Private Labels and/or Consumer Packed Goods (CPG) Labelling and Packaging Regulations under USFDA and USDA.
- Assisting in providing accurate, relevant, and timely advice on legal topics.
- Verifying that all parties to the contract have fulfilled their contractual obligations and no responsibilities are outstanding.
- Identifying the contract baseline (including terms and conditions, specifications, drawings, estimate, proposal, schedule and other documents incorporated in the contract) and highlighting areas of opportunities and potential risk.
- Contract Drafting and Review: Draft, review, and modify contracts, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with company standards and applicable laws and regulations.
- Contract Compliance: Monitor contract compliance and performance, conducting audits when necessary to ensure adherence to terms and conditions.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of contracts, including documentation, correspondence, and contract-related information.
- Legal Support: Collaborate with the legal team, providing support on legal matters related to contracts, including dispute resolution and contract interpretation.
- Ensure compliance with laws and company policies while supporting business.
- Assessing and understanding the impact of new regulations.
- Providing inputs/mark-up on contracts to negate contractual, commercial, and operational risks and exposures.
- Documenting and communicating to all relevant parties any deficiencies found as part of the closeout process.
- Establishing and enforcing standard methodologies in the portfolio of contracts to identify, notify, enforce or defend changes/claims (passive/active) coming from/towards third parties.
- Handle and assist in a variety of other issues and projects that arise from time to time.
Eligibility
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and influence stakeholders
- Proficient in English communication (oral and written)
- Working knowledge/hands-on experience in Contract Review, Contract Abstraction, etc.
- BA (LLB) or master’s in law from a Bar Council of India-recognized institute
- Experience incredible organizations with proven success and stability, working with Procurement teams would be an added advantage.
- A minimum of 4-6 years of experience with the right mix of law firm and in-house counsel experience would be preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of contract law, property law, company law and contract drafting, Hands-on experience in working with Private Labels and Consumer Packed Goods labelling requirements under USFDA and/or Indian Food Safety & Standards (Packaging and Labelling) Regulations, 2011, Legal Metrology (Act & Rules) would be preferred.

- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks, identify potential issues, and propose practical solutions.

- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office suite, contract management software, and other relevant tools and other relevant tools.
