Details of the Job/Internship

Alphastream.ai is hiring a Legal Associate – Alternative Investment Funds with 3+ years of experience to support its AI-driven legal operations. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead the review of AI-extracted data for accuracy, completeness, and industry compliance.
• Verify outputs from LPAs, side letters, and related documents, correcting discrepancies.
• Train and oversee junior team members in review and validation processes.
• Identify key data points and provisions in alternative investment fund documents.
• Provide expertise to product, R&D, and operations teams on contract structures and fund obligations.
• Develop quality-control protocols and validation checklists.
• Document anomalies and ensure extracted data meets accuracy standards.
• Provide feedback for improving machine learning models and assist with annotated examples.
• Maintain detailed records of QA reviews, annotations, and system performance.
• Generate reports on data extraction trends and improvement recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align processes with legal and operational requirements.
• Participate in training sessions on regulatory changes and industry best practices.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in legal, compliance, or paralegal roles with exposure to alternative investment funds.
• Proven experience working with LPAs, side letters, and other fund-level documents.
• Familiarity with AI or legal tech platforms is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Open to working in rotational shifts.

Salary/Stipend
