Details of the Job/Internship

Rexus is hiring for the position of Senior Legal Analyst with 2 years of experience to join their office in Gurugram. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Prepare fully compliant legal invoices in accordance with client and payer billing guidelines.
• Manually review and validate all line entries, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and adherence to appropriate billing standards.
• Review automatic system adjustments and make necessary corrections based on legal knowledge and case context.
• Analyze invoice preparation reports to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Apply legal expertise to evaluate the timing, necessity, and reasonableness of time entries and expenses.
• Liaise with law firm attorneys and administrative teams to gather necessary clarifications or documentation.
• Coordinate with billing and accounting departments to streamline and document invoice preparation workflows.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoice submission to law firm clients, resolving discrepancies proactively.
• Follow specific case instructions and adapt to unique client billing preferences and exceptions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of court rules and legal billing protocols.

Eligibility

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Insurance Defense or Workers’ Compensation Defense.
• Proven experience working in a law firm setting and handling legal billing procedures.
• Solid understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, and client billing protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows-based systems.
• Experience with legal billing software and databases is a plus.
• Capable of working in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments with minimal supervision.
