Details of the Job/Internship
Nexgen Logistics is hiring a senior legal manager to join them in Hyderabad office.
Role and Responsibilities
Legal Research & Documentation:
- Conduct in-depth legal research on various matters as directed by the CEO, including issues related to corporate law, intellectual property, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, including contracts, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), memorandum, and reports for internal and external use.
- Assist in reviewing and revising legal agreements to ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
Contract Management:
- Assist in the preparation, negotiation, and execution of contracts and agreements, ensuring legal standards and organizational interests are met.
- Track and maintain contract records, including deadlines and renewals, ensuring proper compliance with contract terms.
Compliance & Governance Support:
- Support the CEO in ensuring the company adheres to local, state, and federal laws, industry regulations, and best practices.
- Assist in preparing corporate governance materials, including board meeting agendas, minutes, and resolutions.
- Help monitor ongoing compliance programs to prevent legal issues.
Internal and External Communication:
- Act as a liaison between the CEO and external legal counsel, ensuring efficient communication and coordination.
- Prepare briefings for the CEO on pending legal matters, updates on contracts, and risk management issues.
- Manage correspondence related to legal matters, including emails, phone calls, and other communications.
Legal File Management:
- Organize and maintain confidential legal files, contracts, and documents, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with relevant privacy laws and company policies.
- Ensure proper filing and archiving of legal documents, both physical and electronic, in accordance with company standards.
Litigation Support (if applicable):
- Assist in coordinating responses to legal disputes, including managing communication with legal teams or external counsel.
- Track and monitor litigation progress, deadlines, and settlements.
Administrative Assistance to CEO:
- Provide general administrative support to the CEO, including scheduling meetings, organizing travel arrangements, and preparing reports and presentations for legal matters.
- Assist in prioritizing legal tasks and helping the CEO stay on top of key deadlines and priorities.
Risk Management & Policy Development:
- Assist in the development and implementation of risk management strategies and internal policies to mitigate legal risks.
- Participate in the review and enhancement of existing policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practices
Eligibility
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or in a similar role.
- Previous experience working with senior executives, especially the CEO, is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
Salary/Stipend
