Details of the Job/Internship

IndiaLaw LLP is hiring a Senior Legal Associate – Arbitration with 4-6 years of experience to join its Dispute Resolution – Arbitration Practice in Mumbai. The role reports to the Partner – Arbitration Practice and involves managing complex domestic and international arbitration matters, advising on dispute strategy, and representing clients before arbitral tribunals and courts.

Role and Responsibilities

• Handle arbitration matters under institutional and ad hoc rules (e.g., ICA, SIAC, LCIA, UNCITRAL).
• Draft pleadings, statements of claim or defense, witness affidavits, and procedural submissions.
• Develop case strategy and manage proceedings from initiation to enforcement.
• Represent clients before arbitral tribunals and coordinate with external counsel.
• Advise clients on dispute resolution clauses, pre-litigation strategy, and risk mitigation.
• Stay updated on arbitration law developments and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
• Mentor junior associates and support business development initiatives.

Eligibility

• LLB from a reputed institution; LLM in Arbitration or Commercial Law is preferred.
• 4-6 years of experience in arbitration and commercial litigation.
• Strong understanding of arbitration laws, procedural rules, and enforcement mechanisms.
• Excellent drafting, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage complex matters independently and lead client interactions.
• Familiarity with digital arbitration platforms and e-discovery tools.
• Professional demeanor and team leadership skills.
