Details of the Job/Internship

Salvors & Co.® is hiring a Senior Legal Associate – Corporate Clientele with experience of 3–4 years to join their office in Chennai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts including service agreements, vendor agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and licensing agreements.
• Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Identify contractual risks and provide mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and explain contract terms.
• Maintain and manage a database of contracts and implement contract management tools as needed.
• Provide legal advice to clients on contracts and assist in developing contract-related policies and procedures.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and suggest improvements to internal processes and templates.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in law from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in India.
• 3–4 years of experience in contract law, with strong experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
• Prior corporate experience is essential, preferably as in-house legal counsel or corporate lawyer.
• Strong understanding of commercial and contract law in a corporate environment.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred: Experience in Shipping, Energy, or IT.
• Preferred: Familiarity with contract management software and systems.

Salary/Stipend
